Nick Quantrill was born in Hull. His latest crime novel, Cast No Shadow, is the first to feature podcaster Yaz Moy. His short stories have appeared in various volumes of The Mammoth Book of Best British Crime and other anthologies. He was also the first person to hold the role of ‘Writer in Residence’ at Hull Kingston Rovers and is the co-founder of the Hull Noir Crime Writing Festival.
