...according to today's Bookseller online, in their news headline, which shows the shocking and exceptionally challenging retail environment book publishers faced in 2021 - given that Waterstones would be our main national retail chain for books, accounting normally for a large portion of book orders and sales; it also explains why the sector is so risk-averse currently, and why fewer than ever micro-press books get into bookshops in 2022.
