Sohini Basak to read for Almost Island Readings & Reflections!

We are so excited that Sohini Basak will be performing a reading for Almost Island Readings & ReflectionsAlmost Island is launching a brand new series of virtual readings, lectures, and conversations and their very first installation will feature Sohini Basak alongside Arun Sagar.

We published Sohini Basak’s first poetry collection We Live in the Newness of Small Differences in 2018, after Sohini won our inaugural International Beverly Manuscript Prize.

Sohini Basak grew up in Barrackpore, India. She studied literature and creative writing at the universities of Delhi, Warwick, and East Anglia, where she was awarded the Malcolm Bradbury Continuation Grant for Poetry. Currently, she lives in Delhi, making up stories set around a hospital for plants.
