It's hard to think of a more-loved TV show this summer than the third season of Stranger Things (no spoilers).

So, we're thrilled that one of our very own authors has had a song he recorded in the 1980s, with his popular new wave Arizona band Gentlemen AfterDark, 'Open The Door', featured in Episode 1, first aired July 4, 2019.

The author's name is Brian Jabas Smith, and his brilliant recent book is a powerful series of life writing stories, exploring the broken and underground lives of Americans just getting by in the Arizona we know from Breaking Bad... it's called Tucson Salvage - well worth checking out!
