Black Spring Crime is delighted to announce the shortlist for our Crime Prize 2023!
We had so many great entries to this prize, that it was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to a shortlist of five. From psychological thrillers to police procedurals to dystopian noir - these prize entries have really shown the breadth and depth of what crime fiction can be.
The five shortlisted novels are announced below. The winner will be crowned on 14th September 2023, being awarded the £1,000 prize and seeing the winning novel published as part of the Black Spring Crime Series in 2024!
