Black Spring Press author, and poet, Alan Brownjohn, has died
There will be time for longer, considered essays, but suffice it to say, we are devastated to learn of the death of our old friend, Alan Brownjohn, at the age of 92. Alan had a novel published by Black Spring Press, but more importantly, he was a witty, stylish and talented presence on the London and UK literary scenes for over 65 years, as a poet (one of his generation's best), editor, critic, novelist, and wearer of outlandishly colourful suits. Friendly, sociable (he threw great parties) and sensitive, he was a truly superb all-round writer, and will be deeply missed. Our condolences as a press to all his loved ones, friends, family, and readers.
