We would like to update you on the recent news that our US distributor NBN, the National Book Network, is to cease distributing in the next few months
This forthcoming major change follows the collapse of SPD, the 50-year-old California-based Small Press Distribution, which happened last year, both examples of how small press publishing is struggling more than ever.
The good news however, is that our US distribution should transfer over, we hope, sometime this summer. But until then, in this reorganisation period, we will be unable to distribute any of our new or forthcoming books in the US, or have them repped by a sales team.
This is a temporary setback, with a potential silver lining, but the timing is poor, for a small business environment already fragile.
Also, like the rest of the world, we await to see if Trump will slap big tariffs onto foreign products, including books, coming into the US.
Please bear with us while we get back on track.
