Clowning is a dark and humourous exploration of youth, sex, and the pursuit of understanding as the female speaker navigates twenty-first century city life. Terrorism and optimism exist side by side, as she forges connections and experiences fleeting moments of satisfaction against the backdrop of tumultuous political circumstances.
Roxy Dunn has been published in The Rialto, Orbis, and Ofi Press Magazine and was one of five poets featured in the collected anthology Podium Poets 2 published by Nasty Little Press in association with Spread the Word. She is also a professional actor, with screen credits including Channel 4’s Babylon, directed by Danny Boyle. Her play In Tents and Purposes received a ***** sell-out run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 before transferring to Soho Theatre.
