Poetry pamphlet By Andrew Fentham

Andrew Fentham was born in Birmingham. He was Young Writer in Residence with the Charles Causley Trust in 2017. His poems and translations have appeared widely in magazines and anthologies including Poetry Review and The Black Herald. An installation, Project, appeared at the Hatton Gallery (Newcastle upon Tyne). He lives and works in Cornwall.

Neat neologisms, mesmerising neo-surrealist procedures, an artful use of found material, shape poems too lithe to be called concrete, a sussed sestina, a dialectally aware tense lyricism – is there anything Andrew Fentham can’t do with wit and gusto? Nope. Not on the evidence of this brimming pamphlet. - WN Herbert

Don Paterson has called a poem a ‘machine for remembering itself’, and Andrew Fentham’s are at the very cutting-edge of design. Dangerous with intelligence, these are astonishing and uncanny constructions. - Clare Pollard
